When the first T69s were taken away to be stored it was stated that they might be held in reserve for further Midland Metro extensions. Now that battery operation is to be used on various extensions of the existing system, and the new trams already designed to be fitted with supercapacitors or batteries, this means that the T69s will never return. Perhaps now is the time for one to be bought for preservation.
If i had the money, i’d definitely buy one lol
How much would they be worth now?
I was told Approx £5000 Is the scrap value .
strong possibity of them being used else were though.
Oh that’s good, no point in scrapping them when they’ve got lots of life still left in them 🙂
