“Trams &” time again and as is so often the case in this series the & part of the image is a bus.
This time we are in London, well Croydon at any rate, and we are just by West Croydon bus station so its probably no surprise that as a tram rounds the corner and climbs Station Road on its way further into Croydon that it comes across a bus. The tram is 2539 – one of the CR4000 class of trams built by Bombardier in 1998/9 for when the network opened. Its working a service to New Addington on this Easter Monday morning.
As it ascends towards us a bus in the familiar London red livery is about to come out of the bus station with a service to Morden. The bus proudly tells us that its an electric bus and as so often seems to be the case in this series it is another product of Alexander Dennis being an Enviro400 EV City.
