In Pictures: London Tramlink 2542’s new advert livery

As we reported last weekend London Tramlink CR4000 2542 received a new advertising livery for Turkish Airlines shortly before Christmas and now with thanks to Irvine Cresswell we bring you images of the tram in action on 6th January.

Three views of 2542 at East Croydon showing off its new all over advert for Turkish Airlines. (All Photos: Irvine Cresswell, 6th January 2015)

Very nice to see a red tram again on Tramlink. Red should have always been the dominant colour following tradition!

  2. Nigel Pennick says:

I believe the original Croydon Corporation Tramways livery was chocolate and cream, though I have seen models which appear to be claret or maroon and cream or white. Red was London Transport (the livery of the General bus company), and the result of their hostile attitude to trams is history.
