Two new cab ride DVDs have recently been released featuring footage from the Blackpool Tramway and London Tramlink. As well as featuring full uninterrupted cab rides both DVDs include speeded up journeys.
The Blackpool Tramway DVD has been out for a while and features a cab ride between Starr Gate and Fleetwood on board a Flexity2 tram. Also included is a special bonus feature with the journey condensed into six minutes. As if that wasn’t enough to interest you a new and updated version of the DVD is due to be released in the next few weeks featuring a Cab Cam from Fleetwood to Cleveleys.
The latest released from Factory Digital Media is a cab ride on board London Tramlink CR4000 2535 between Wimbledon and New Addington. Once again the DVD features some bonus material with a ride around the central Croydon loop – both at normal speed and speeded up – as well as London Tramlink mini documentary with Sharon Thompson, Director of Tramlink.
Both DVDs have been filmed with the full permission of the operators of the respective systems and the main cab ride features natural sound. They are both available for just £9.99 and can be purchased from the Factory Digital Media website at http://factorydigitalmedia.co.uk/ although it will be a couple of weeks before the new version of the Blackpool cab ride is available.
