DLR to get into the festive spirit

As Transport for London’s 25th anniversary celebration year starts to come to an end, the DLR is celebrating another significant event – Christmas! There will be a festive treasure hunt whilst local school children will be performing carols at Canary Wharf on select dates too.

The DLR’s festive treasure hunt will be available from 15th December 2025 to 2nd January 2026 and will start at Tower Gateway. You can take part by downloading the Actionbound app and then help Doris and Dave bring the festive spirit to the Docklands, with prizes available for participants.

The treasure hunt will take you to stations such as Tower Gateway, West India Quay, Canary Wharf, Greenwich, Island Gardens, Mudchute, Royal Victoria, Pontoon Dock, London City Airport and Woolwich Arsenal.

Meanwhile, every afternoon between 8th and 12th December carols will be sung by local school children at Canary Wharf station by the DLR platforms to help you really get into the Christmas spirit!

And if that’s not enough, TfL will be marking the end of their 25th anniversary year with a free prize draw, offering customers the chance to win a range of festive gifts to explore London this winter. Prizes include boat and bus tours, ice skating and theatre trips. More details and to enter visit https://tfl.gov.uk/TfL25Xmas.
