LRSSB relaunch safety video for the darker nights

Now that we’re out of British Summer Time and enter Greenwich Mean Time after the clocks went back at the end of October, the LRSSB are relaunching a video which urges the public to “Be Smart Around Trams at Night”.

This is one of a series of short animations the LRSSB commissioned and it highlights the need to take extra care when crossing the tram tracks, particularly when it gets dark.

Carly Swift, LRSSB Marketing and Communications Manager, said: “Operators are welcome to use the videos to complement their own safety campaigns, and they are ideal for posting on social media channels.

“They can also be used on tram-stop information displays and now that it’s dark during the busiest times of the day for many networks, this is an ideal time of year to remind the travelling public that they need to keep a close lookout for tram headlights whenever they’re near to the tracks.”
