Picture in Time: Nottingham Express Transit 205

We return tonight with another edition of “Picture in Time” and we remain in Nottingham.

This image was taken on 7th June 2007 and shows Incentro 205 climbing away from the Nottingham Station viaduct as it works a service to Hucknall onto Middle Hill and soon Weekday Cross. In 2007 the viaduct leading to Station Street just ended there as this was before the phase two extensions were built which saw it extend over the top of the station and onto to Toton Lane and South Clifton.

As for the tram, 205 is seen in its original fleet livery with it having only been in service for just over three years since the system opened in 2004. The tram would carry fleet livery – three varieties of it – all the way until December 2023 when it received its first advert for e-on. It can now be seen in service carrying another advert for Sky Broadband.
