A few days ago the West Midlands Metro were saying how the best way to get to the Great Birmingham Run was by tram, and now they have confirmed that if you do use the tram you won’t be able to get beyond Bull Street as it will be one of two occasions in the month of May where there will be a temporary suspension of services in the city centre.
Sunday 4th May
To allow participants of the Great Birmingham Run to take part safely no trams will run between Bull Street and Edgbaston Village from the start of service to 1430. Trams continue to operate Bull Street to Wolverhampton Station. Normal services on the complete route resume from 1430 with trams up to every 12 minutes.
Saturday 24th May

Trams will run as normal from Bull Street to Wolverhampton Station. Both before and after this closure services continue to run Edgbaston Village-Wolverhampton Station up to every 8 minutes.
