Around the World in Trams: Prague 7148+7149

And as January comes to a close our random month of photos “Around the World in Trams” also comes to an end – and after the past couple of weeks have featured iconic classes of tram we may as well finish that off!

And they don’t come much more iconic than Tatra products in operation in Prague do they?! In this image we see 7148 and 7149 leaving the Malostranska stop working route 33 to Kotlarka.

7148 is a Tatra T3SUCS tram which was built in 1985 and operated in Prague until March 2012 when it was sold on for further use, that coming in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine which is where it remains today. 7149 is the same class and it too was built in 1985. Like 7148 it was sold on in 2012 to Kryvyi Rih but didn’t stay long there before it moved on to Odesa (also Ukraine). 7149 is now withdrawn from service.
