Having featured photos from the second weekend of the East Anglia Transport Museum’s Ride the Lights events we now return for the third and final weekend for another set of images of the popular event. Once again the two trams in use were Blackpool Marton VAMBAC 11 and London Transport 1858 and they were accompanied trolleybuses Derby 237 and Belfast 246. Bryan Grint is again our photographer.

London Transport 1858 waits alongside Derby trolleybus 237 at Chapel Road terminus. As well as the Christmas wreath, 1858 was also carrying a simple and discrete black ribbon as a mark of respect to Peter Davis, the man who saved 1858 to allow it to enter preservation, who sadly passed away during the previous week.

Another look at 1858 as it heads along Tramway Avenue and is about to go deep into the woods with another trip along the line. Around 700 people went through the gates on this day, showing just how popular the event has become.

Blackpool Marton VAMBAC 11 was also in operation and in this view we see it just coming out of the woods as it heads back down to Chapel Road.

After rain had fallen we see the lights of the tram and trolleybus as well as the special Christmas lighting reflecting off the setts. 11 stands at Chapel Road with Belfast trolleybus 246 for company.

Chapel Road again as 11 continues to wait. Its now got the company of two trolleybuses with Belfast 246 joined by Derby 237.
