Its time for another edition of “15 Years Apart” and this time we head to South Yorkshire for images on the Supertram.

As always the first image comes from 2010 and shows Siemens-Duewag built tram 115 at Park Square junction with a Purple route service. As the tram is coming off the Meadowhall line this tells us that at this time the Purple route still enjoyed the daytime extension through to Meadowhall with trams running Meadowhall-Cathedral-Herdings Park (and vice versa). In this view the tram is ultimately bound for Herdings Park but will first go into the city and reverse at Cathedral. 115 was, at this time, in the standard Stagecoach Supertram livery. This was 29th May 2010.

If we fast forward 15 years to 13th March 2025 and 115 is still operating in Sheffield but at the start of the calendar year received this advert for Park and Ride sites located along the Supertram network. The attractive wrap makes a difference to how it looked in 2010 as we see the tram pulling away from Shalesmoor and continuing with a Yellow route service to Middlewood.
