We are off to Tallin in Estonia again for this next edition of “Around the World in Trams”.
Featured in the below image is another Tatra product. 97 was built in 1985 for Tallin and was originally designated as a KT4SU. It would then undergo modernisation in 2004 when it became a KT6T which is the condition we see the tram in here. The tram is heading away from us with a service on route 2 which the single ended tram in the blue and white fleet livery.
97 remains in the operational fleet today but in 2017 underwent more modifications which saw it become a KT6TM – it is one of 12 which remain in the Tallin fleet to this day.
Reminiscent of the old’two rooms and a bath’ articulated trams of the mid-20th century.
