In Pictures: 115 gets its first advert in Sheffield

There is even more variety in liveries on the South Yorkshire Supertram network with the third new advert in the past seven weeks now being seen on 115. The tram re-entered service with an advert for JD on 16th November 2024 – which is the very first non-fleet livery to be carried on 115.

The advert is another dark based wrap (and it is a complete wrap of the entire tram body with the former fleet livery no longer visible) and includes the JD logo on ends and sides along with photos of models wearing we presume clothing which can be purchased from the sports store. The doors are yellow to provide some break from the dark colours and the slogan “FAMILY” is also used.

With 115 now carrying an advert, nine of the 25 Siemens-Duewag trams have had full adverts (it gets up to 10 if you include 110 which had ads on the centre car in 2004/5) in their operating careers and six of them are currently in this condition.

Those which have ads/promotional liveries are:

111 – Sumup

112 – Green Supertram

115 – JD

116 – Park and Ride

118 – e-on

120 – Bringing People Together

JD have previously advertised on the Blackpool Tramway with a very short-lived wrap on 014 in October 2024. Will this advert last longer?

115 arrives at Castle Square in its new wrap. As it arrives 120 – Bringing People Together livery – is departing.

  1. Geoff, IoM says:

Horrible! But, at least, the windows are left uncovered.

  2. John Hibbert says:

A similar advert appeared on Blackpool 014 for about a fortnight in October 2018.
