Having missed much of the summer season at the Seaton Tramway undergoing maintenance, 15 has returned to service during the month of October. It was one of 11 trams to be used in service over the course of the month with 10 again leading the mileage charts.
October saw the Seaton Tramway continue with their daily operation although it was the Yellow timetable which dominated proceedings which sees services end an hour earlier than for the main season. Despite the fact that the month generally sees more changeable weather the open top double deckers continued to see extensive use but the most noticeable thing from the released figures is that the older double deckers did see considerable less use over the 31 days which make up October.
10 was used the most with 888 miles recorded, quickly followed by fellow “new” tram 11 which managed 870 miles. At the other end of the scale 4 was not used at all whilst 6 just managed 6 miles (the equivalent of just a couple of journeys) and 2 travelled 12 miles.
