Edinburgh Trams to support Save the Children this Christmas

Staff at Edinburgh Trams are to help Save the Children by raising funds this Christmas for the charity’s initiative which aims to provide disadvantaged youngsters in the UK and around the world with the resources they need to have a more prosperous future.

They will be pulling on their favourite Christmas jumpers to raise money. So far they have raised nearly £150 by joining in with the Christmas Jumper Day that took place earlier in December.

Lea Harrison, Edinburgh Trams’ Managing Director, said: “All year round, our team is looking for ways to support those who are most vulnerable, but each December they do the best they can to spread the joy and hope that’s traditionally at the heart of Christmas. Many of them are already well and truly in the festive spirit and need no excuse to wear their silliest eye-catching jumpers, but there is a serious side to the fun, and we’re thrilled to be playing our part in this popular seasonal fundraiser.”

Edinburgh Trams will also be collecting toys for the Cash for Kids appeal which looks to ensure disadvantaged children receive a present on Christmas Day.
