Passengers travelling on Edinburgh Trams will now find it easier than ever to get the best deals for travel following the upgrade of the Edinburgh Ticket (https://tickets.edinburghtrams.com/) website.
The website now has a fresh new look but probably more importantly it has a number of new features including the functionality for purchased tickets to be downloaded directly to Google and Apple wallets.
Jamie Swift, Edinburgh Trams’ Marketing Manager, said: “Since the launch of trams to Newhaven, we’ve seen a massive increase in customers using the tram, either for business or pleasure and we’re always looking at ways to make buying a ticket as easy as possible. This includes revamping the website to make it as user-friendly as possible to help them find and use a value-for-money ticket that best suits their needs. Our popular ticket offers are suitable for all sorts of activities in and around Edinburgh and as an added bonus, tickets purchased online can entitle customers to discounts at some of the city’s top attractions such as Edinburgh Bus Tours, Camera Obscura & World of Illusions, and Hard Rock Café.”
Tickets purchased on the website can also be printed off ahead of travel and shown to the on board Edinburgh Trams team and it remains possible to purchase tickets from the machines on the platforms at each stop.
