Tram and car collision on Metrolink’s Ashton line

Manchester Metrolink services to Ashton-under-Lyne were suspended for just over an hour on Friday 23rd June after a car and tram collided on Droylsden Road.

The collision happened at around 1655 close to the tramstop at Audenshaw with the emergency services attending the scene. A woman was treated at the scene although did not require hospital treatment.

During the disruption services from Eccles terminated at Velopark with tickets valid on local bus services. Services were able to resume from 1800.
