One tram on the West Midlands Metro which we haven’t pictured since it re-entered service is 27 so let us remedy that now! We had previously seen that it had been used on driver training but not long after that it was carrying passengers with its first recorded use being on 19th May 2023.
For the records, 27 had left Wednesbury Depot on 9th December 2022 (the third of fourth tram to head to Dudley) and was back on the West Midlands Metro on 23rd January 2023. It then spent almost four months at the depot before being seen out on the mainline on 17th May 2023 when it was used for driver training. It then carried passengers for the first time on 19th May 2023.
