Trams &: Blackpool Flexity2 006 & bus

Its back to Fleetwood Ferry for this latest edition of “Trams &” as we again showcase a modern Blackpool tram alongside a bus.

On 2nd June 2022 at 1600 we see Bombardier built Flexity2 006 sitting at Fleetwood Ferry tramstop before it departs with a service all the way back to Starr Gate. Carrying expired external advertising for Tunnocks the tram’s destination displays have already been changed for its return journey. In the background the North Euston Hotel dominates proceedings – as it has done for many photos of trams here over the years. The hotel was built in 1840-1 and despite its heyday being long-gone it remains a distintive building in Fleetwood. It is now a Grade II listed building.

Alongside the tram is ADL Enviro 400 City bus, no. 422. Its working on line to Fleetwood Affinity Outlet. This was one of the buses which received special vinyls to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
