Having reached Hucknall last time out our journey on Nottingham Express Transit goes back on itself as we now head onto the short Phoenix Park branch.
A few weeks ago on the approach to Highbury Vale we came to a junction and took the straight line towards Hucknall but this time we head left onto the Phoenix Park branch and not long after taking that track come to the second stop at Highbury Vale. As with the Hucknall platforms this is an island platform and everything we have come to expect is found here as well.
The pleasant immediate surroundings of the stop are seen here as 234 departs with a service which is heading to Phoenix Park. The junction is just behind the photographer and we can just see in the distance where the line singles.
Park branch. 234 on the right is coming away from Phoenix Park and will go to Clifton South with 213 on the opposite platform face going to Phoenix Park. (Both Photographs by Gareth Prior, 19th September 2021)
