Crich Photo line-ups: Oporto Trams – 2016

The next line-up we take a look on the Crich depot fan saw three trams on display – all from the Portuguese city of Oporto.

Tram Day at the Crich Tramway Village on 10th September 2016 saw several different line-ups formed on the depot fan, a couple of which included Oporto C65 which was about to be presented to Beamish – it had been in store at Clay Cross since 2016 and ahead of its departure to the northeast it was temporarily transferred to Crich where it was to play a starring role in the event. This Oporto line-up also featured horse car 9 and 273.

The same three trams are seen again from a different angle. The coal car was soon moved to Beamish where it is now stored in the depots there with a view to restoration work taking place in the future. (Photograph by Gareth Prior)
