Services on the Nottingham Express Transit line to Toton Lane were disrupted on Tuesday 15th November after yet another car managed to drive onto the tram only Lenton Road Bridge – and then proceeded to get stuck.
Judging by photos online the car accessed the bridge from the NG2 end (the bridge takes the tram over the railway line as it runs between NG2 and Gregory Street) and seemed to make it most of the way before it got stuck just as the line starts to descend towards Lenton Road. The photos show Citadis 228 brought to a standstill just before the car.
During the disruption trams were suspended between Meadows Way West and University Boulevard with tram tickets valid on NCT Orange line buses.
