Around the World in Trams: Berlin 218 036-7

Our brief visit to the Oldrimer Museum in Rugen, Germany comes to an end today as w feature one final tram to be on display the museum.

That trams is another which has run on a couple of different systems in Germany and now carries the number 218 036-7 which was its final number when running in Berlin. However, it started off life in Dresden as no. 1733 in 1963 and would remain in service there for just five years. It moved to Berlin in 1968 where it was renumbered 8037 and then just two years later in 1970 it was renumbered to 218 036-7. It retained that number when running in Berlin until 1995 at which point it was withdrawn and sent to Prora for display at the museum.

Unlike others in this series of images from Prora though, its display at the museum is actually outside with it being used as a ticket office.
