Another “Picture in Time” coming from the Midland Metro and featuring a T69 in action.
In this photo we see 06 at St Pauls which is towards the start of its journey from Birmingham Snow Hill to Wolverhampton St George’s. At the time of this photo St Paul’s was the first stop out of Snow Hill and with a single line section between here and the Birmingham terminus you could see a couple of trams here as one waited for the other to head to Snow Hill. Today and Snow Hill no longer welcomes trams with a revised alignment allowing them to get to St Chad’s and then further into central Birmingham.
06 is another tram which only ever carried the original fleet livery and has now been scrapped. It was officially withdrawn on 8th June 2015 and left Wednesbury Depot for storage at Long Marston on 26th February 2016.
