More trams in Edinburgh for The Eagles

Once again proving how important trams and light rail are in moving large crowds of people, Edinburgh Trams are to run additional trams before and after a concert at BT Murrayfield Stadium on Wednesday 22nd June to help get people to and from the gig by The Eagles.

The normal timetable which sees trams up to every seven minutes during the day will be boosted by extra trams which see services running every three minutes before and after the concert. Those attending the gig are encouraged to make use of Ingliston Park and Ride to help avoid traffic congestion.

Lea Harrison, Edinburgh Trams Managing Director, said: “The Eagles have proved one of the most influential bands of all time and we want to help make sure fans have enjoy hassle-free travel to the show so they can concentrate on enjoying their favourite hits, such as Hotel California, Life in the Fast Lane, and Take It Easy. As Edinburgh is hosting the only Scottish date on the anniversary tour, the concert will attract thousands of visitors from across the country and beyond. With the tram stop right beside the stadium, travelling to and from Murrayfield by tram couldn’t be easier!”
