Out and About: Edinburgh 272 from above and at ground level

“Out and About” is back today as we feature Edinburgh Trams 272 twice – once a standard ground level shot and then later from above.

On 8th April we see 272 running westbound to the Airport at the west end of Princes Street. The vehicle is crossing the junction with Lothian Road with next stop being West End.

Shops over multiple floors sometimes have their uses it would appear! Taken from Harvey Nichols this image shows 272 having just arrived from the Airport at St Andrew Square. Saint Andrew Square garden is behind, the round building is a Costa and the base of the Melville Monument is beyond it. (Both Photographs by Roy Calderwood)
