Evening photo session confirmed at Beamish

Beamish, the Living Museum of the North, have confirmed a special ‘out-of-hours’ photo session as part of the 2012 Great North Steam Fair event. This will take place on Saturday 14th April, from 5:45pm until approximately 9:00pm. Similar events proved to be extremely popular at last year’s transport events as during normal opening hours Beamish tends to be a very busy place – whereas special photo sessions provide opportunities to photograph vehicles with less people getting in the way!

For tram enthusiasts the main attraction on this Saturday evening is likely to be Birkenhead 20 which will be visiting the museum for a few weeks and is expected to move from its usual home at the Birkenhead heritage tramway shortly in preparation for its starring role. This car will be posed in the Town street and with staff in period costume also present, this should be a fantastic opportunity to capture some atmospheric shots of this beautiful tram in an appropriate period setting. Other attractions will include the steam gallopers, a Y7 tank engine at the Colliery and more vehicles to be announced nearer the time.

Just 200 tickets are available for this special extra event and they are priced at £10 per person. To book a place please click here: http://www.beamish.org.uk/photographic-evening-gnsf/
