Today’s “They Ran in 2021” is off to the Blackpool Tramway for another photo showing a tram which operated in passenger service over the past year.
Along with fellow Balloon Car 715, 717 is a tram which has seen extensive use once again during 2021 on various Heritage Tours including first choice Fish & Chips Tram as well as use on standard tours as well as Illumination Tours throughout the autumn period.
It was normal tours that 717 was in use on when this photograph was taken at Gynn Square with the tram just about to climb up towards the photographer with a service which will be returning to depot after a hard day in service for the return of hop-on, hop-off tours on Anniversary Weekend.
