Edinburgh Trams to join in with Christmas Jumper Day

Friday 10th December will be Christmas Jumper Day again in 2021 with the aim being to raise as much money as possible for Save the Children to help children get the food, healthcare and education they need to take on the world. And Edinburgh Trams will be joining in on the day with drivers, ticket inspectors and office based staff all set to dress up to help raise money.

Save the Children encourage everyone to donate £2 whilst they put on their Christmas jumpers and this year the charity is focused on assisting children living in hunger-ravaged areas or refugee camps where the winter could be a fight for survival.

Lea Harrison, Managing Director at Edinburgh Trams, said: “Many of our colleagues are already well and truly in the festive spirit and need no excuse to pull their eye-catching Christmas jumpers on, but there is a serious side to the fun. We are proud to do what we can to help support important charities such as Save The Children and make a huge difference to the lives of those who need it.”

Edinburgh Trams are also keen for any passengers to share pictures of themselves on the tram in their Christmas jumpers through their social media outlets: https://www.facebook.com/EdinburghTramsOfficial and https://twitter.com/EdinburghTrams.
