Classic Motorcycle Day returns to Crich – Sunday 3rd October

Classic Motorcycle Day – one of the more popular events days each year – returns to the Crich Tramway Village on Sunday 3rd October with the 4th annual event taking place combining the passions of vintage trams and classic motorcycles to offer a great family day out.

Candi Bell, Events Manager at Crich Tramway Village, explains more: “We’re delighted to be hosting our 4th Classic Motorcycle event again this year, which continues to be very popular with motorcyclists and families looking for an interesting day out. We have over 200 classic motorcycles booked in for this year and it’s great to see how much work has gone into maintaining them”.

The event is organised alongside the Vincent H.R.D Owners’ Club and is sponsored by Derwent Waste Management. There will be trophies awarded for “Best British Motorcycle”, “Best International Motorcycle”, “Best Japanese Motorcycle” and “Best Pre-war Motorcycle” and “Best Scooter” with these decided by judges whilst the public will have the chance to vote for “Best in Show”. The Old Bike Mart magazine will also provide the cup for “Best Classic Motorcycle in Original Condition”.

Normal admission rates apply (£19 for adults, £16.50 for seniors, £11 for children) although anyone who comes on a modern motorbike and parks it in the main car park they can ask for a voucher on arrival to allow reduced admission of £12.50.

There will, of course, be a tram service with trams due to run between 1030 and 1700 (the museum itself it open 1000-1730).
