Over the years during special events Manchester Metrolink have had a number of guest announcers for on-stop announcements and with Soccer Aid taking place on Saturday 4th September there will be another – Dermot O’Leary. The television presenter is hosting the event and will also be lending his voice to some pre-recorded announcements.
Soccer Aid takes place at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium on Saturday 4th September and will see a number of celebrities taking part. This will include Olly Murs, Usain Bolt and Paddy McGuinness as well as former footballers Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes and Pablo Zabaleta.
Metrolink is an excellent way to get to the event with the Etihad Campus stop located close to the stadium. And you may even be able to travel by the Soocer Aid tram with 3070 carrying a vinyl wrap advertising livery.
