Add on NET ticket now available for megabus passengers

Anyone travelling on low cost coach operator megabus will now be able to book an add on ticket for travel on Nottingham Express Transit as part of a new deal between the two operators. This means that anyone who is either starting from or going to Nottingham can add a tram ticket priced at the standard fares of £2.40 for a single and £4.80 for a return.

Andrew Conroy, NET Chief Operating Officer, said: “This is another example of making it easier for our customers and providing joined-up transport options for people visiting Nottingham. Making public transport the best option for people also helps us support Nottingham City Council’s ambition to become the UK’s first carbon neutral city by 2028. It makes sense to partner with megabus during this period of recovery as they will have customers that are unfamiliar with the city, so it helps them get around easily.”

The tram add-on option is available now from the megabus website at https://ukmegabus.com. Megabus have stops in both the city centre and at Nottingham University both of which provide excellent connections to the tram network.

Of much better value is the Plusbus day ticket for travellers arriving in Nottingham by train. This is purchased with the train ticket and for Nottingham it is £5 for a day’s travel on the trams and buses.
