In Pictures: 270 latest to regain adverts in Edinburgh

The ranks of the advert free tram in Edinburgh has reduced again with 270 the latest to receive adverts – its first advert since March 2020. The advert is for Multrees Walk, an upmarket pedestrian precinct which links Harvey Nichols on Saint Andrew Square to the St James Quarter.

Multrees Walk, which opened about 20 years ago, is a first time sponsor on Edinburgh Trams with this advert featuring a black background and white and blue writing. It’s a fairly simple advert for this “Luxury Shopping Destination” and as usual it has the two full height adverts on sections three and five of the tram with the other sections just having adverts above the windows. The tram has even been christened the “Multrees Express”.

This is the fourth advert on 270 for the third different company. It started off between September 2017 and September 2019 advertising C R Smith before the next six months saw it feature ads for American Express in two different designs. The first of these were on the tram September to November 2019 with the second design November 2019 to March 2020.

Possibly not the most catchy part of the advert is seen on this full height section with a number of stores found at Multrees Walk listed.
