Stop by Stop Nottingham Express Transit: Toton Lane line – NG2

As we continue our journey on Nottingham Express Transit’s line to Toton Lane we reach what is possibly the stop with the shortest name on a UK tramway – NG2.

After departing from Meadows Way West the tram runs a further distance along Meadows Way before it comes to a set of lights controlling access across the busy Queen’s Drive. Once these allow us to proceed the tram crosses the road and heads towards the stop at NG2. Located in the middle of the business park of the same name the stop is surrounded by offices and in a normal world this should provide it with plenty of traffic. Other traffic is able to run along the tramway here and the stop is a standard either side of the tracks design with the usual furniture on the platforms.

Here we see 210 standing at NG2 as it prepares to depart to Toton Lane. This view is looking towards Nottingham City Centre.
