It’s another trip to Den Haag in this edition of “Around the World in Trams”.
This time we see Siemens Avenio 5011 running south along Buitenhof as it negotiates the city centre loop on 4th July 2017. To the right of this image, behind the low flower-topped wall, is the Hofvijver (Court Pond), a landscaped lake alongside the Binnenhof (Inner Court), a Gothic palace which houses the Dutch Parliament and the Prime Minister’s office, and the Mauritshuis, an art gallery containing celebrated works by Vermeer, Rembrandt and Fabritius.
