Not to be outdone by Edinburgh and Sheffield we can also bring you a photo of snow in Manchester! The snow we feature in Manchester comes from a couple of days later, on the very last day of 2020 and is again a fairly light dusting which didn’t cause any major issues to the service. Keith Chadbourne is our photographer for this one.
The snow in Manchester had actually fallen the day before this image, 30th December, but there was still plenty on the ground to allow this picturesque view to be taken of a double unit on its way to East Didsbury. This is taken from Manchester Road where it passes over the Metrolink line with this view looking towards the stop at Firswood. (Photograph by Keith Chadbourne, 31st December 2020)
