Lockdown Walks: Manchester Metrolink 3055

We are again heading to Manchester for this latest “Lockdown Walk”.

We are today featuring M5000 3055 which is one of the largest class of trams on a modern UK tramway system, with 147 of the class due to be operating on the system within the next 18 months or so. 3055 arrived at Queens Road Depot, Manchester on 7th July 2012 and after commissioning entered service on 24th April 2013.

In this first of two images we see 3055 on Holly Hedge Road as it forms a service back to Victoria via Market Street.

And then we see 3055 on Moor Road as it approaches the stop at Wythenshawe Park. It is heading to Victoria. (Both Photographs by Keith Chadbourne, 22nd November 2020)
