Fare changes on Luas

Monthly and annual tickets on Dublin’s Luas tram network will go up from 1st December it has been announced by the National Transport Authority (NTA) in the first part of their fare determination. Cash and TFI Leap ticket price changes will be announced in February 2020 for application from the end of the following month.

The annual and monthly Luas only tickets will go up by 7.4% with the annual ticket to cost 1,300 euros and the monthly version 130 euros. But anyone who purchases a Luas/Dublin Bus/Iarnrod Eireann ticket for the SHZ will see their monthly fare fall by 4.9% to 195 euros and the annual ticket will decrease to 1,950 euros.

    For those not conversant with the full range of TLAs (three-letter acronyms), “SHZ” means “short hop zone”.
