Tramlink suffers after motorbike collides with tram

London Tramlink services were suspended for around an hour and half on Wednesday 27th February after a motorbike collided with a tram at Reeves Corner. The incident happened at 0720 and the biker was taken to Croydon University Hospital for treatment – his injuries were believed to not be serious. The tram involved in the incident was 2543 – operating a service to Wimbledon – which suffered minor damage to the front end. Trams were suspended between Reeves Corner and East Croydon whilst the emergency services were on the scene with the first trams running through again at 0845.
