A new initiative for 2019 on the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway is the chance to sponsor a Trammer – for just £12! The Trammers are the horses who work hard throughout the season hauling the trams along Douglas Promenade and any sponsorship received will help support the upkeep, welfare and promotion of the large number of Clydesdale and Shire draught horses.
Although you will be sponsoring a specific horse all monies raised through this initiative will be pooled into a Tram Horses Support Fund to make sure that all of the horses are treated equally. The donations through the Sponsor a Trammer will help to source fresh vegetables, feed and dietary supplements along with items such as bedding, grooming and conditioning products, rugs, harness, collars and tack and transportation between the stables and the fields around Douglas where they spend some of their time when not needed to pull the trams.

Sponsorship lasts for 12 months and as well as knowing you are helping to support the Trammers you will receive an A5 colour Sponsor Card including a photo and profile information of your chosen horse.
