Picture in Time: Nottingham Express Transit 201

We’re off to Nottingham for today’s edition of Picture in Time with a view of one of the vinyl wrap adverts carried on the trams.

The tram featured here is 201 which seems to have more than its fair share of adverts over the years and when this photo was taken on 28th September 2013 at Royal Centre it was carrying this design for Nottingham Contemporary – an art gallery which is adjacent to the tramway just by the entrance to the Nottingham Station viaduct. This advert featured a different design on each side and this side shows the blue version. A fairly simple design it was still deemed necessary to feature contravision across all windows (save for the doors). Underneath the advert the original fleet livery is still carried. The tram is now in the new fleet livery.
