In an imaginative move to try and raise extra money to fund the construction of a new
tram depot in which to house their growing collection of trams, the Heaton Park Tramway have turned to the popular Internet auction site eBay. A ‘Tram Driving Experience’ course on Blackpool Brush car 623 is being offered for sale, with a starting price of £110 being set.
As 623 only entered service at Heaton Park last weekend, the lucky winner may well
become the first member of the public to drive it there. The winning bidder will be able to spend a whole day at the park driving this superb car, and refreshments will also be provided. Of course 623 has been available for members of the public to drive before, as it was used to launch the highly successful driving courses at Blackpool.
