In Pictures: Work continues on Bilston Road

The work to replace both in and out bound tracks on Bilston Road between Priestfield and The Royal is continuing with the Midland Metro Alliance still stating that they are on schedule for the line to fully reopen by Christmas. The chance is also being taken to install the points for the forthcoming Wolverhampton City Centre extension in order to try and minimise disruption for Metro travellers in the future. Andy Walters has been out with his camera again and provides us with these latest images of recent progress.

The Midland Metro Alliance have said that work is progressing well and it is on schedule for completion by Christmas. Alejandro Moreno, Midland Metro Alliance Director, said: “We do appreciate everyone’s patience whilst we are carrying out these important works and I am delighted to say we are on schedule to complete our works by Christmas. We will continue to communicate with affected residents and businesses in advance of this next stage of the works in order people can find alternative routes around the city.”
