Two Docklands Light Railway units have received vinyl wrap liveries to mark the Pride on London Festival which is taking place this week. The bright and iconic rainbow livery will be carried on 64 and 89 until later this year and completes a hatrick of special liveried vehicles in the capital following on from a New Routemaster and a London black cab.
The liveries have been designed to celebrate London’s diversity and the 10th anniversary of TfL’s LGBT+ staff network group, OUTbound. The train wrap has been sponsored by Barclays and complements the #PrideHeroes advertising campaign.
If you have ever wondered how a vinyl wrap livery is applied you can view a time lapse video of one of the units receiving its new livery at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jB65mvdOvlk.
Strange how the rainbow flag, once the logo of the Women’s Institute, was appropriated for Gay Pride.
