15 Years Apart: Liverpool 762

We go “15 Years Apart” again and this time it’s a tram which has changed location between the two photos (whilst also being someone else in between as well).

In 2010 (28th September to be precise) Liverpool 762 was one of the stars at the Blackpool Tramway 125th anniversary event during a loan spell from the Wirral Heritage Tramway – so much so that it ended up winning Tram of the Year. It was one of several trams to visit Blackpool for the events and saw use mainly on special tours. And it was during one of those tours that we see it on Pleasure Beach loop.

2025 saw the tram move to a new home with it becoming part of the collection at the Crich Tramway Village, home of the National Tramway Museum. After it left Blackpool it had returned to the Wirral Heritage Tramway but after the Big Heritage takeover at the museum and tramway the owners of the tram MTPS decided to offer three of their trams to Crich which led to 762 making the move. On 13th September 2025 it was pulled out for display during Tram Weekend and we see it here (in the company of the Blackpool Electric Locomotive which had towed it out the depot) on the depot fan.
