Usually when Brian Turner publishes a new book it is a case of get in while you can as the popularity and limited print run means that they soon sell out. That was the case again in 2025, when Blackpool’s Last Street Tramways was released – but if you missed out there is a chance to secure it with a copy having recently been listed on ebay.
Blackpool’s Last Street Tramways is a companion to Brian Turner’s previous book, Via Marton, and is in three main parts, covering the final years of Lytham Road (closed 1961), Dickson Road (closed 1963) and Princess Street (2005/2013). A fourth part brings the story up to date with coverage of the new street tramway along Talbot Road to North Station. Its got 208 pages and features over 400 pictures.
With all copies of the book selling out quickly last year there will probably be some out there who missed out, so now is your chance to add to your book collection. Although if you want it, its not going to be cheap! At the time of writing the seller was looking for £89.10 for the solitary available copy!
The book is on ebay and you can view more at https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/127652908260?_
