Its that time of the day again when we feature our series “Numbers”.

We head back to the Crich Tramway Village for this latest image as we represent the number 7 with Chesterfield 7. This double deck, open balcony tramcar is one of the stunning restorations to have come out of the Workshop at Crich with it being launched into service in 1997. Although withdrawn from service in 2022 it was only a brief removal as it was soon back doing what it does best at the home of the National Tramway Museum. The tram was built in 1904 and remained in service in Chesterfield until 1927 after which it was sold on for use as a holiday home. In this photo we see 7 arriving at Glory Mine on 14th September 2025. (Photograph by Gareth Prior, 14th September 2025)
