In Pictures: Blackpool 014 latest to get a full wrap

As alluded to in our article on Saturday evening, another tram in Blackpool is now carrying a full vinyl wrap advertising livery. This time its 014 – hardly a stranger to adverts having carried an ad for Wednesday earlier this year – which has seen new vinyls added and the sponsor of the tram is Elite Competitions.

Whereas the advert seen on 011 left the cabs free of advertising, 014 is back to being a complete wrap. It features black and orange vinyls  and also includes vinyls across the majority of windows. Upon application it was devoid of external fleet numbers.

This is the third advert that 014 has carried – and all of them have been mainly black! Its first was for JD Sports in October 2018 and then in August 2025 it received the aforementioned ad for the Netflix series Wednesday. Those last advertising vinyls were removed in October 2025.

The tram had an official launch with its new advert on 29th November 2025 before it entered service for the first time on 30th November 2025.

Advertising on the modern tramway is now at an all time high. Four trams have full (or fullish) wraps (011, 012, 014 and 016) with a further two (001 and 013) having the “T” style adverts.

30th November also saw the start of the new timetable which includes some trams turning at Pleasure Beach. Here we see 014 with its Elite Competitions advert just coming off the loop. (Photograph by Steve Hughes)
