Last week we reported how Manchester Metrolink 3102 had lost its previous advert – and now after around a week with it running in fleet livery its back with another vinyl wrap! This time the tram is advertising JD Sports – also marking a return to advertising for the sportswear retailer.
This new advert for 3102 is in the standard Metrolink advertising style – namely the ends remain in fleet livery with the rest wrapped, including the second set of windows on both sections of the tram. Charitably we’ll call the actual design busy which shows various products available to purchase from JD Sports.
This now becomes the sixth advert carried on 3102. They have been Welcome Back Manchester (June-December 2021), Hard Rock Café (July-November 2022), Starling Bank (March 2024-March 2025), Bohomoon (July-September 2025), and Medik8 (September-November 2025).
As for JD Sports they previously advertised on 3118 (November 2024-January 2025) and 3081 (March-May 2025).
