We have another “Out and About” as photography comes from the West Midlands Metro during August 2025.
In this photo we see one of the original batch of 21 Urbos3 trams built for the West Midlands Metro in Spain by CAF between 2013 and 2015. 23 was originally delivered to the Wednesbury Depot on 13th May 2014 and would be one of two trams which would enter service on 27th August 2014 at the start of the phased introduction of the fleet. This view shows the tram approaching Edgbaston Village with a service from The Royal on a sunny late summer’s day. (Photograph by John Binch, 29th August 2025)
